I utilized the Talon XMW 7'3 8-17lb. For this build I added EVA grips, American Tackle HCC carbon reel seat and Alps LXN guides. Threadwork is a combination of green and charcoal madeira shade packs with ProWrap thread for the guides. I mix a little led and some tungsten powder in with the epoxy and add into the butt cap area. Really balanced out nicely. This rod was built as a purpose built light swimbait rod and also for winter and early spring stripers. Amazing blank!
