Best Carbon Handle Grips Around? - by Nick Guy

Best grips around?! Featured in this article are the green camo carbon grips from USA Made Factory. Before jumping into this blog I wanted to make sure I put this product to the real test. As a Kokanee angler my rods spend the greater majority of their lives in a rod holder and I was sick and tired of grips falling apart on me. About 2 or so years ago I was able to get my hands on this carbon tube grip and I immediately knew its calling so I headed for home and got to work! Like I mentioned before after building this rod I sent it through the wringer. I would guesstimate close to if not over 100 days in the last 2ish years of constant in and out of the rod holders, fighting fish, etc. All of which has led me here. I wanted to put durability, the quality and the functionality to the test.

Test 1: Durability I’ve not shorted putting this to the test. For a comparison I have the rod I have been using next to a rod I am currently building with brand new grips of the same color and pattern. You can see there is zero difference in looks between the new and used grip. Zero sun fade, zero signs wear and tear from rod holder or anything else. So in my opinion the USA made grips PASSED!

Test 2: Quality Another common thing I see on other manufacturers carbon is the tube will actually start to break down on the ends, and there is zero of that here. If anything, if gave the grip a good wipe down, you would have no idea of its age! Absolutely impressive the quality of the product. PASSED!

Test 3: Functionality These grips feel great in your hand! Not too rough but never once have I felt concerned it would slip or slide. Neutral temperature to the touch, not cold at all like other carbon. Extremely sensitive. Just and all around great feeling grip! PASSED! All in all if you are going to build rods rod that need the durability to withstand the abuse of a rod holder or other things as such, I truly believe the grips from USA Made Factory are a must have!
